  • 3.3-liter naturally aspirated DI V6 Hybrid with dual chrome exhaust tips, with an EPA-estimated range of more than 500 miles* between fill-ups.  
  • 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 that produces 400 horsepower, 415 lb.-ft. of torque and a top speed of 143 mph.

 

In order to give you the smoothest possible ride, the new Ford Explorer can be equipped with a cutting-edge 10-speed automatic transmission with seletShift capability as well as an all-new rear-wheel drive system that enables a sportier, more athletic ride and improved on and off-road capability. If you need to do any kind of towing, the 2020 Ford Explorer has you covered with towing and trailer sway control, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, and (when properly equipped) up to 5,600 pounds of towing when you add the Class III Trailer Tow Package. We also must mention the new Intelligent 4WD with Terrain Management System that comes with seven Selectable Drive Modes controlled by an easy-to-use dial in the center console.
