The Ford EcoSport is a subcompact crossover SUV that's big on features and big on character. While some vehicles have attractive starting prices to attract inquiries, when you see what you get for that money it soon becomes apparent you’re probably going to be raiding the options list to get the things you want and need. Ford tends to keep things simpler and much more straightforward, and the 2019 Ford EcoSport is a good example of a well-equipped model with nothing to hide. Let's take a closer look at the trim levels and some of the key features.

Model lineup

Apart from perhaps the F-150, which is an incredibly versatile and flexible vehicle that needs it, Ford doesn’t baffle buyers with a bewildering array of different trim levels in its model ranges, and the EcoSport is no exception. The range starts off with the S with a starting MSRP of just $19,995*, and then we have the SE, Titanium and the SES.2019_Ford_EcoSport

Powertrains

Ford almost changed the world when it introduced its incredible 1.1-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine a few years ago, and the standard engine in the 2019 EcoSport is a slightly more powerful version of that globally award-winning powerplant. Under the hood of the EcoSport is a 1.6-liter EcoBoost turbo-three, and in this case, it develops 123 horsepower and 125 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard, but all models can be upgraded to all-wheel drive.

Standard with the SES and available for the other trim levels is a 2.0-liter non-turbo four-cylinder engine. This time it provides the EcoSport with 166 horsepower and 149 lb.-ft. of torque.

Black Appearance Package

Sometimes, a few aesthetic tweaks can make a real difference, and that's certainly what the available Black Appearance Package does for the EcoSport SES. The package is only available for the SES trim, and it includes a black-painted roof and a black hood decal and is available with the Lightning Blue, Diamond White and Moondust Silver exterior colors.

Sync® 3

In-car infotainment is a vital feature of any new vehicle these days, and Ford's excellent Sync® 3 system is standard in every EcoSport apart from the base S trim level. The system includes an LCD capacitive touchscreen in center stack, 911 Assist, AppLink, Apple CarPlay™ compatibility, Android Auto compatibility, and two smart-charging USB ports. In the SE the screen is a 6.5-inch unit, but the SES and Platinum models see the screen upgraded to a larger 8.0-inch unit.

Premium sound

The Titanium model really pushes the boat out for those buyers who take their sound seriously, and that's because it comes standard with a premium B&O™ sound system. The system comes with 10 speakers that include a subwoofer for lots of bass, a 675-watt amplifier and HD radio technology. 

SE Convenience Package

Transform your EcoSport SE by adding the available SE Convenience package. The package lives up to its name by adding: a 110V/150W AC power outlet; ambient lighting; BLIS Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert; 7 speakers; the 8-inch LCD capacitive Sync® 3 touchscreen; FordPass Connect™ with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot powered by FordPass app; a voice-activated navigation system with pinchto-zoom capability, and integrated SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link with a 5-year subscription. 2019 EcoSport
